I'm afraid that this is a Baja Blue Rock Lizard (Petrosaurus thalassinus) and not an Eastern Collared Lizard (Crotophytus collaris). The two species are related, but their color and banding patterns are different. It's possible that this animal was mislabeled or individuals of both species were housed in the same exhibit.
Whoops, thank you for the correction; this is indeed a Baja Blue Rock Lizard, and I just double-checked and it was labeled correctly at the zoo (a bunch of pictures from this visit got corrupted, which made me guess this was a Collared Lizard, but I just realized the thumbnails were saved).
By the way, this means I finally got this see this species this year since the ones at the NC Zoo keep failing to show.
Congratulations! I don't think that I've seen a Baja Blue Rock Lizard yet! But I live in a state where the Eastern Collared Lizard is our state reptile, so I've seen hundreds of them over the years!
