Mrs. Mengden contributed extensively in the construction of the Schmutzer Primate Centre primarily due to her concern of the welfare of the animals, especially orangutans. Her work resulted in the massive orangutan exhibit and cave we see now in the Primate Centre. She have sadly passed away a few years ago in 2020.
