Turtle Exhibit #3

August 20, 2024
These were red-eared slider, Sunda box turtle, and orlitia borneensis (You can spot one large individual on bottom right corner). I think there was signage for cyclemys dentata/heosemy spionosa, but I don't think the turtles are there atleast recently.

I took photos of all the signs at this exhibit and they were for 5 species: Brown Tortoise (Manouria emys), Bornean River Turtle (Orlitia borneensis), Headed Softshell Turtle (Cuora amboinensis), Red-eared Slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) and Giant Brown Tortoise (Testudo emys). Whether the signs are correct or the chelonians were all present...who knows?

@snowleopard I suppose the manouria emys and testudo emys are of the same species (Asian forest tortoise). But this are more than likely the actual species (The same mix had been done in the other mixed turtle and tortoise exhibit from the their photo) and the zoo held all of those species.
