@Fargusno there have been an male turtle prior to the turtle from 2011. Knowing how old and big they could get, it safe to assume that it can be either of them.
Yes, I only had noticed that the title is innacurate since I got to excited to see a clear photo of the chitra chitra javanensis there. I vaguely recall that the english label on the signage present for the turtle's exhibit does assign it as the "Indian narrow-headed softshell turtle" unfortunately. The op might seemingly just took it as granted and why it was said that the turtle wasn't present in last August (Which kind of baffled me more than concerned when I knew of it).
