This emerald tree monitor is very old and has lives at the zoo since around 2007 or 2008, and has turned into a duller blue-to-grayish-green color. He does still have a little bit of the emerald-green color left around his head and neck, but still not as bright as it used to be. He also has cataracts in both eyes and arthritis which he is on medication for.
