@Zoological Point agreed! Their taxonomic situation is so interesting and their appearance is too. They’re so unique and it’s a privilege to live in the state where they’re from so I can see them pretty often.
@Zoological Point Yeah, it’s changed a crap ton of times but as of right now they’re saying they’re closest to Torpediniformes. Even without the genetics I believe that, based on their physical traits compared to the incredible torpedo rays. I once got to hold one of those and it was a wild experience.
