@Nadchew_ Does the second yard have a larger pool? I would have hopped the zoo put a little bit more effort into their African Penguin enclosure after seeing the incredible facility over at Bird Paradise.
@Jonathan Petersson this is a temporary enclosure. A new permanent complex housing California Sealions, Harbour Seals and African Penguins will open in 2027
@Zooish Oh my apologies I was under the impression that this was the new permanent complex for them! Can't wait to see how their actual enclosure turns out.
@Zooish Just throw some beach chairs, a grill, some tiki posts and some spice jars into the exhibit and we're in business! I'm sure the penguins love their current summer getaway
In all seriousness, this is a really smart way of keeping the penguins on display - but 2027 seems a bit far for these accommodations to keep the penguins happy... maybe it's just me.
