What’s the story behind this captively uncommon species in Australia? Australia, I imagine similarl to South Africa, struggles taking part in International breeding cooperation dur to being so far removed from the main hubs like the EU and US. It’s awesome seeing rare and interesting species in these cases.
 
@Nix Australia is part of the European breeding programme. A handful of founders were imported from Europe and Asia and reasonable breeding success ensured, but it would be good to have some more imports to ensure continuation. I really enjoyed watching them on my visit and one came right up to the glass, which was great to see.
