In the former Jungle Jim show (which has since been replaced by something more educational), there was a storyline about Jim being a birder who was looking for a monster bird, the Laya-laya. The butterfly temple is made in worship of the monster bird (shown by the bird head over the entrance, as well as these murals), while the people from the Rimbula greenhouse seem to live in fear of the bird (shown by the scary-looking cave paintings in the Rimbula river tunnel)
