One thing I love about the whole Jungle Jim storyline in Rimbula is that it really pulls visitors into the education. Not only the hand-drawn-looking art, but also the way Jungle Jim writes. You can feel the way he gets excited about animals.
Just like Freek Vonk or Steve Irwin, the education sticks with the visitors way better because it's given through the eyes of an explorer, rather than from the indifferent and neutral pages from an encyclopedia.
Also, the Jungle Jim storyline just gives the whole Rimbula greenhouse a bit more life. I prefer Burgers' Bush over all, but I do think Rimbula handles education and theming better than Burgers'. Additionally, Rimbula feels more "tied together", I suppose? Not sure how to word it properly.
@Mr Gharial I agree the storyline and theming around Jungle Jim are worked out ver well. I also appreciate the signs quite a bit. For me personally what distracts a little from the explorer storyline is that the animals featured are originally from different regions of the world, although I suppose more regular visitors would not necessarily be aware of that, making it not truly necessary to stick to one area for the exhibit.
@KevinB it sort of helps that the signs rarely (if ever?) mention where the animals come from, we're in the fantasy rainforest "Jungola", and these are the animals that live here.
