A widespread indo Pacific nudibranch which is given the common name of 'blue dragon' (not to be confused with the other blue dragon Glaucus atlanticus). This is a reef associated species which feeds on hydroids but retains their symbiotic algae which are then used by the slug to obtain energy through photosynthesis
