This would have to be the two castrated males (Kairangi and Tawhiri) as their female companion died a few months before your visit; and the park’s two lionesses (elderly females) have manes, meaning it can’t be Meeka and her son Mambili (the other grouping of two). The fifth lion (Leah) lives alone.

@WhistlingKite24 I visited with one of my sons and his family last year and enjoyed explaining the reason behind the tiny male lions (elderly females which had grown manes) and massive lionesses (castrated males) to them all.
