Widespread througout the Indo-Pacific in freshwater habitats, suggesting the zoea has to drift out to sea in order to complete their life cycles. They are presently known to occur in:
Indonesia, the Philippines, the Comoros Islands, Madagascar, New Caledonia, Taiwan, and Japan.
