@ZOOlogical PointThank you! I admit I had trouble differentiating them and the Dogfish at first but once I figured out, they just never came up to the glass LOL, took a lot more patience than any other animal i saw today
@Local_Shark I know you'll appreciate these. I'm happy to confirm the Aquarium has at least 2 of them still (possibly third but it was smaller and I couldn't tell if it was another Dogfish or a third Tope Shark). They still look very healthy and active, though didn't come up to the glass very much
@Northwest_FIsh_Keeping Thanks for the tag! I hate to say it but this picture is actually a Pacific spiny dogfish. You can tell by the tail lobe - it’s rounded on the bottom and top, while school sharks have a more sharply pointed upper lobe. This one also has dorsal spines which schools/topes don’t. Here’s a tope’s tail for reference:
@Local_Shark Ah man, looks like i got too ahead of myself. Thankfully I did manage to get 1 photo of the actual Tope Shark, but it was all the way in the back sadly. I'll post this one instead
