My first Japanese mammal - and it is a badger in the middle of the day! The other photo I uploaded is better, but this one shows the whole body and colouration. I'm actually surprised any of the photos turned out well enough to edit into something because it was about fifty feet up what was basically a cliff, foraging mostly in and under leaf litter. I spent about an hour trying to get clear photos without a lot of success.
