@snowleopard Well Walruses never happened in Pittsburgh sadly, this is currently the home of the Nations only Elephant seals. Pretty cool that the Pittsburgh Zoo still ended up getting a rarity in this exhibit.
@Toledo Zoo Guide Both elephant seals have passed away, the zoo no longer holds the species. Pittsburgh was also not necessarily the only holder as several rescue centers usually have some, including sometimes at SeaWorld San Diego (though not necessarily viewable to the public). As of fall last year SeaWorld Orlando has a female living behind the scenes.
