@aardvark250 Yaward deer is Cervus hanglu yarkandensis, or someone prefer to classify it as a separate species, Cervus yarkandensis; and yes, that is actually a real wild bactrian camel which rescue from the wild.
aardvark250, in one word .... "WOW, WOW, WOW"! Be nice to see some of the regional zoos in the inner provinces of PR CHINA have both Yarkand deer as well as Wild Camel (BTW: Bactrian camel has been recognised as a different species ... now)!
I would love to chat / talk with you about true Yarkand deer (Cervus hangla yarkandensis) and true wild camel (Camelus ferus) where both captive individuals and their wild counterparts as well as their current status in the wild.
This wildlife rescue facility is in Gansu Province, in the city of Jiuquan. Can you provide a review of the facility in the PR CHINA thread(s)? I suppose the facility has more and other wild animals and rescuee fauna on exhibit as we speak!
