Striped hyena is also incredibly rare in Morocco. I think during my 2017 visit a keeper told me these were imported from the Middle East which would make them ssp. sultana.
@Mehdi Given it is from there initially. Might just as well be imported from Africa or descending from African parents. I would be careful with all the subspecies you've given to your sights in Rabat @Giant Eland
Ahh sorry guys! I used a combination of Zootierliste and Joel Sartore's IDs to help with mine. I definitely defer to people more in the know like you two. I've changed the ID to not include subspecies.
