I'm not sure what species of turtle this is, but it's shell is very high-domed for a cooter. I wonder if this is a color pattern of a Coastal Plain Box Turtle?
 
I think this might actually be a Blanding's Turtle (Emydoidea blandingii), with either atypical coloration or possibly just the lighting? This turtle lacks the characteristic beak found in box turtles, and the head shape most closely resembles that of Emydoidea blandingii. It's definitely not any species of cooter.

I do see what appears to be another turtle in the background right about the subject and that looks more like a cooter to me.
 
@Astrotom3000 I think you're correct about the Blanding's Turtle! That is a much closer match than either a box turtle or cooter would be and it would have a relatively high-domed shell with this sort of patterning. Thank you for your identification!
