Freiburg Mundenhof Bear Exhibit

This is the oldest enclosure in the Park, both bears are very old and they let them die now. After the bawers died, the park will not keeping bears anymore. They tried to make it more comfortable for the animals with some trees and parts of natural grounds.

Yes, this looks very bad compared to the other pictures from this park,

But let me tell you, the bears are very old, its better to let them die in their home, than to try to transport them to an other facillity. No other zoo would take over this old bears, and as you cans ee in the Zoo Halle Gallery, there are some new bear exhibits which are not better than this one.

If they so old, Why not "put away" the old bears? So they not have to suffer?

Just the moment, who said the bears suffer in that old exhibit ? They are doing very well ,they have bred regualyry, they are healthy and tehy became old.Only why they live in an oldere xhibit, it menas not yet that the animals suffer in it, and often older exhibits are better than newer one, the only diffrence is, the newer exbits are looking nicer to the visitors.

What do you mean with put away ? Killing the bears to end their"suffering"? Yes, kill all old animals in old exhibits to stop their sufferiung, that what I call an animal lovera nd Zoofriend...Send them away to another facillity ? maybe they could do that, but the problem is, who wants old bears ? And you think its easy send them to another zoo and the will find their way in a new home, after they have spend their whole live in this exhibit ? I say No. Let them die at their place.

Some people make it themselves to easy if they belive they would do a fallen to the old animals if they send them to absolutly new surroundings.

Well in summer 2012 there was 3 bears in this exhibit
