Signage in Japanese Bird House

March 2025
Is there no longer the Japanese Wagtail? I saw it in January

@DaLilFishie This is a seperate, smaller house for native birds which has stayed open. Given that bird flu hasn't gone away, I'd imagine it may be some time before the main house opens. At least the Lidth's Jays and Go-Away Birds, as well as the native birds, are viewable

@CMP thanks!! Definitely would have been disappointed to miss Lidth's Jay so that's good to hear. Are the Shoebills and raptors still viewable?

@CMP - no Japanese Wagtail on display

@DaLilFishie - I'll be posting a full species list in the next day or two hopefully. Only the Bird House is closed, otherwise pretty much everything else is viewable apart for a handful of other birds around the lake (Oriental Stork and some waterfowl).

@CMP - where are the Go Away Birds? I did miss one set of aviaries by the seals (the ones with the toucan image) because from the map I thought they were part of the Bird House.
[Edit: actually, I see the Go Away Bird picture on the map, directly on the Bird House, so I guess it is in the same aviaries with the toucans?]

@Chlidonias Yes, duplicate enclosures in fact, along with more Lidth's Jays, White-headed Buffalo Weaver, and Crowned Hornbill. I think the only reason the Bird House was closed was because of walk-through portions.
