The guy shown on the label just to the top-right of the centre of the photo is a popular Japanese ichthyologist known as Masayuki Miyazawa, nicknamed "Sakana-kun" (literally "Fish Guy").
@Mr Gharial it turns out that all the cool plush toys of marine animals sold in Japanese aquariums are also available on Ali Express (and cheaper than in the gift shops, unsurprisingly).
