Deepwater fish

March 2025
Not really deepsea but I wasn't sure what to call it, so went with "deepwater". The fish in the middle is a Ghost Shark (Callorhinchus milii) which is a species of chimaera. The eel-like fish on the bottom is a Manetail Snake Eel (IOphichthus urolophus), the shark on the bottom is a Cloudy Catshark (Scyliorhinus torazame)

Also visible in this image is Hilgendorf's Saucord (Helicolenus hilgendorfii), Japanese Soldierfish (Ostichthys japonicus) and Horsehead Tilefish (Branchiostegus japonicus).

Actually, the tilefish may rather be a White Tilefish, Branchiostegus albus. Both B. albus and B. japonicus are in this tank, if memory serves.
