Australian aviaries - Saitama Childrens Zoo

March 2025
The aviaries in the Australian area were particularly small - basically like backyard aviaries - and were the worst enclosures at the zoo (which I think demonstrates how good the zoo is overall). These pictured aviaries were very difficult to see into because they were covered in shade-cloth (I think probably due to Bird Flu) but housed Rainbow Lorikeets, Budgies, Zebra Finches, Double-barred Finches, and Blue Quail.

Thank you for the background information and the list of species! Unfortunately, we've all seen bird enclosures that were much worse than these!
