Cheekspot scorpionfish (I think)

Small display tank, Two Oceans Aquarium, 18th September 2024
A very small species, which was posing too nicely to pass by. Unfortunately the tank was not labelled. I wondered whether it could be Scorpaenodes evides, but when I asked on a Facebook group S guamensis was suggested: the colouring of different individuals of these species seems to be very variable, both are small and found on the eastern coast of South Africa and Mozambique, so it would need scale counts and finray counts to distinguish them.
