Roseate Spoonbill

I've enjoyed your photos from the Fort Worth Zoo! I need to get back down there soon! Does the Zoo still have a largish colony of Roseate Spoonbills? They've maintained this species in their collection for well over 50 years and I'm sure that they've bred several hundred of them over the years!

It seems like their colony became much smaller after the Zoo built the Texas Wild! section and moved them there into a smaller mixed-species exhibit. I'm sorry their numbers aren't what they used to be. During one of my visits in the 1990s, the colony held close to 25 spoonbills!
