A big group of Cape Porcupines in residence with Bat-eared Fox in quarantine and soon to join them.

How does one get to the lower porcupine viewing? Is it connected to the ‘Hidden Savannah’ or is the lower pathway exclusively for that enclosure? If the latter, then that seems like a slightly poor design choice, as most visitors would presumably see little value in going out of their way to see an enclosure that has other, more accessible viewing points,

@Kalaw It's on the opposite side of the main plaza to Hidden Savannah, and includes a covered picnic area. This section had a troubled planning process, being an indoor restaurant at one point, then an education area, then the covered picnic area. The original idea was that lower-level viewing would be from the restaurant only, as with the pudu. I'm actually very impressed that the small mammal enclosures survived that upheaval to make it into the final exhibit, though the layout is a little awkward.
