Is there any additional space to the right of the second tree in this image? If so, I could see why Cincinnati would be so interested to bring in a babirusa or two.
 
Babirusa are actually not that destructive to their environments. They lack the rostral bone in their snout that allows other pig species to root around in the dirt, so they cannot churn up the soil and rip up grass on their own. Sure, some planting will be lost just so to wear from animal movement, but it will not immediately become a muddy mess like it would if it was for another pig species.
