That's incredible you've managed to get an individual photo of almost all(?) of Chester's chimps. I suppose it's one way to make them easier to tell apart!
@Rajang-GOAT Thank you! I spend 3 days in Chester and tried to get a photo of all of them. I unfortunately didn't see Nickie, as he seems to be completely off show.
@GamerGorilla That must have been a bit frustrating! I'm guessing he is the only member left of that band of separated off/retired males now. The stocklist shows four males to have died last year (we know one was Boris) and only one could've been a youngster, I'm guessing the other two may have been Friday and Wilson? It says there are 5 males as of the end of last year, which would be Dylan, Carlos, Eric, Jeff and Nicky, hopefully there is some chance of Nicky being reintegrated to the main troop?
@Rajang-GOAT I was confused about the stocklist when I saw it some months ago, since hadn't realized there had been so many deaths last year. I had only heard about Boris and the baby that Alice had at the beginning of the year, but was told by a friend that Friday also had passed away. The 4 deaths accounted for should be Boris and Friday, as well as the baby boy Alice had. Sometime during the winter the chimps were off exhibit, it seems there another baby was born that also passed away. I heard the mom was Sally, which is a shame I think she would be an incredible mom if she had the chance. Wilson died in 2023 if I remember correctly. I really wish I knew what the plan with Nicky is, it's a shame he's completely on his own now.
