Apenheul kept giant anteaters between 2007 and 2012, at the bottom of the monkey tree path canopy boardwalk.

Such a strange addition. I'm pretty sure this is just here to distract people from the fact that this area is full of climbing structures but no free-roaming monkeys, since this showed up right after the Golden-headed lion tamarins and White-faced sakis moved out of this area
