Don't know how you can say it's Medauroiea extradenyaya, a species I've kept myself in large numbers but there are so many species ( 2500/3000 discribed sofar ) and a large number looks like the ones on the picture and even specialists have difficulties to tell the species apart.
Jusy because its a common species doesn't make it automaticly the one on the picture.
Having been to NaturZoo Rheine myself, I am able to confirm the stick insects to
be Carausius morosus. The sign even says "Carausius", and they don't really look
like the other Carausius species I know are kept in Europe.
