As of May of 2025, the aviary are filled with several red-and-blue lory (Eos histrio) as a some sort of placeholder, the Von der Decken's hornbill are nowhere to be seen sadly. Though, it appears that the zoo have another plans for this aviary with the presence of a "coming soon" signage in front of the aviary.
On a side note, having an ever rarer species to take the place in what we can consider a generally common species is something that I can stand for.
