There’s little to no hope of him being re-paired for natural breeding now due to his age (18 years); but his gametes were collected during a veterinary procedure, so fingers crossed they may lead to him siring a cub through AI once science has better perfected this notoriously unsuccessful process (I believe mainly due to felids being induced ovulators). Personally, I think there was a missed opportunity upon the import of Ramah and Zayana into New Zealand in 2022. Bashi could have gone to Auckland; Ramah to Wellington and then swapped, once Bashi had sired one litter to Zayana.
