@geomorph I might be reimagining things here…but I seem to recall was being told that this fella was only in the exhibit during the Oystercatcher’s natural migration cycle in the area. So I don’t know. I didn’t see him during my last visit either.
On another note…were you able to visit any other Alaskan zoos during your visit?
@Pleistohorse I did not visit any others, I was on a cruise and stayed in ports, the only other animal attraction I saw was Seattle Aquarium's new Ocean Pavilion on this trip.
