Umvikeli - New aviary for vultures, secretary birds and other African birds, 2025-06-09

I saw all the vulture species, the secretary birds, the francolins and a hoopoe.

In the news thread it was suggested a hornbill species, Abdim's storks, Speckled pigeons and Hamerkop might also be moved into this aviary from different exhibits at Avifauna.

It's pretty old, I'm sure. It was in the old exhibit too

@Mr Gharial But it has been given a much more prominent place in the new aviary. You couldn't see it nearly as well in the old aviary.
