After over 2 years of searching, I finally managed to find the super elusive Grey-backed thrush at Songs of the Forest! This species have been on and off display at SOF since the park opened. The first pair unfortunately was mainly kept at the holding cages during the park's earlier months of operations and died a few months after being released. A new pair from the Breeding and research centre (if im not wrong) was brought in earlier this year. The female unfortunate died leaving us with one male left.

@Phrynoidis The loss of the birds have been due to a multitude of reasons. Some like the female shoebill was due to the birds not playing nice with one another, and many were due to unforeseen circumstances such as sudden illnesses or injuries due to the aviary meshes or other means. Birds in general are really fragile animals.
