Waterfowl lake

Interesting exhibit! Between your three photos, I can see Whooper Swan, Black Swan, Swan Goose, Bar-headed Goose, domestic goose, Ruddy Shelduck, and Gray Crowned Crane!

@Summer Tanager I have species lists in the review here: Guangzhou Zoo: review and species list, May 2025 [Guangzhou Zoological Garden]

On the map (Guangzhou Zoo map - ZooChat) you can see three lakes - the one I've labeled as "Waterfowl Lake" on the photos is the "Singing Geese Lake" of the map. There are two islands on this lake. The one in the above photo is the one marked for Ring-tailed Lemur on the map (I didn't see any on this island - they have a very good enclosure elsewhere in the zoo - but there are shelters on it so there may be lemurs on it). The other two photos titled "Waterfowl Lake" are the other island which has Red-crowned Crane on it, but obviously the waterfowl can swim anywhere in the lake between the islands. The map also has Mute Swan labeled here but I didn't see any.

1. "Egret Island Lake": Herring Gull; Great White Pelican, Pink-backed Pelican.

2. "Singing Geese Lake": Grey Crowned Crane, Red-crowned Crane; Whooper Swan, Black Swan, Chinese Goose (domestic), Bar-headed Goose, Common Shelduck, Ruddy Shelduck, Mallard (domestic).

3. "Dancing Crane Lake": Caribbean Flamingo; Red-crowned Crane, White-naped Crane, Common Crane, Demoiselle Crane; Black-necked Swan, Ruddy Shelduck, Mandarin Duck.
