Caught while night fishing. Three species of the genus occur in Tasmania but are difficult to distinguish - I'm leaning Australian Red Cod Pseudophycis palmata but unsure. This genus is common in Tasmania but not often seen as they are nocturnal - during the day they take shelter in dark rock crevices.
