Orangutan & White-cheeked Gibbon Exhibit - Tropical Forests

Look at all that wasted space...and manicured lawns. This exhibit could use triple the amount of ropes and climbing options, but I suppose it will look much better in a year or two once the plantings grow in.
 
How did this get green-lit? Surely this does not meet current husbandry standards. Do we really think its fine to continue keeping orangs on glorified lawns with little to no climbing opportunities and no privacy besides a dirty concrete tree trunk?
