with the curassow taking over its exhibit, did the zoo transfer out its last DeBrazza's Monkey?

@LadyA91 yep, we only had an individual male left. He’s been gone for maybe a month now. No plans on getting the species back.

Thanks for the info. I'm happy to hear that the Houston Zoo is continuing to maintain THREE species of curassows! Can I assume that these are Blue-billed, Helmeted, and Wattled?

@Summer Tanager I remember the zoo used to have a male helmeted in the old bird garden near the old flamingo habitat. I came across it again via street view google maps.

@TheImmigrant1 I'll miss the DeBrazza's Monkeys, what happened to other DeBrazza's Monkeys before the last one was shipped out? Did they died or were sent to other AZA accredited zoos?

@ZooFan1from what I remember we only had two males, they were both sent to other zoos.
