A little personal story; this is a fish that has eluded me for over 8 years ever since I first encountered it in 2017. The folks over at Iwarna had offered me a good price for a pair as they know I was an a-fish-ionado for oddballs and all the weird things most other fishkeepers in Singapore do not typically keep. I rejected that offer and regretted it since, as by the time I had a suitable aquarium for them they were long gone. Now that this fish is available yet again, alas! As Singaporeans have to deal with a tiny living space, I find myself without a suitable aquarium to house them in. Perhaps in another 8 years, when the stars align, I will finally be able to attempt to house these gorgeous animals at home
