kampung satwa - marsh birds exhibit

@Fargusno not a good temporary exhibit for them, then. Adding water around it wouldn't kill the lemur or binturong after that, probably be more suitable in some ways.

@Rizz Carlton Speaking of which LPZ hasn't acquired the lemurs until now, which does not surprise me because I feel that LPZ has been barred from owning any endangered species (hence why they opted in for non-endangered species like spotted hyenas, giant elands, sitatungas, red kangaroos and llamas)

@Fargusno I could tell, most of their current collection appears to be imports or exotic animals. But, all those single species like the sun bear, orangutan, and flame bowerbird, as well as the elephants that were in questionable conditions should go to better places.

Technicaly speaking, most "endangered" exotic species in Indonesia aren't bound to law in Indonesia, except when they're clearly violate any quarantine law (Ex. smuggling). They don't always get their exotics directly from the wild, most of them came from farms or in rarer cases, foreign zoos! Lemurs are "endangered" but BXSea recently got them, it's more of if you got enough money and trust, you can get these fairly easy.

Worth noting that all elands in Indonesian zoos are taurotragus eland or common eland, not taurotragus derbianus. "Giant eland" seems to be more of a brand name for these zoos.

@Rizz Carlton What baffles me more that smaller parks like Habitat Park SCBD and Faunaland Ancol could obtain lemurs but Lembang Park & Zoo, that has a larger exhibit for them couldn't. Though Habitat Park SCBD's lemur exhibit now houses leucistic and normal macaques. I guess they didn't fare well there.

@Fargusno again, money and trust, which Habitat Park clearly have atleast the former, while Faunaland do have wide connections that make getting lemurs seems very easy for them.

@Rizz Carlton Even BXSea got ahold of lemurs, though the exhibit looked too small and cramped for them. I wish LPZ chose to wake up and get some lemurs by themselves.
