Great shot - not only are they both out but clearly using the verticality and climbing structures of the exhibit! How long were they outside during your visit? I'd love to find an excuse to go back to see the orangs out.

I’ve spent my last few visits only on the west side of the zoo, so I’ve been walking through Tropical Forests two to three times per visit and stopping to observe whenever something interesting is happening. That being said, I’ve had luck seeing Sophie out during my last couple of visits. She tends to go on exhibit for 20 to 30 minutes at a time, then heads back inside. I’ll check out other exhibits, and when I return, she’s usually outside again.
Today was Kecil’s first day entering the outdoor exhibit. He was coming out for two to three minutes at a time before going back inside. He’s gaining confidence, but he’s still a bit skittish. If you’re hoping to see them both on exhibit, I’d give it another week or two. Like most zoo visits, sometimes it just comes down to luck and patience.
