Are the colobus monkeys still Angolan Colobus? If so, I believe that this exhibit has held that species continuously for about 35 years! From 1988 though 1990, the exhibit housed a group of Lion-tailed Macaques (I think they were a bachelor group) and then they were replaced by the Angolan Colobus. That's my recollection.
@Austin the Sengi I was a volunteer at the zoo when I lived in Tampa (1989 - 1991) so I'm reasonably familiar with the core exhibits near the front of the zoo. It was called the Lowry Park Zoo back in those days and had recently been rebuilt. The zoo was closed temporarily in 1987 and 1988 for reconstruction and the previous were demolished. When the zoo reopened in 1989, the old zoo had been replaced with the entrance plaza, the large walk-through aviary, the primate trail, the Asia trail, and a small petting zoo area. In 1990, they opened their Florida trail, and the manatee building was completed a year or two later after I had moved. Sadly, I've only been back twice since 1991.
