One of the two extant A. sligoi was bought from a pet shop in Japan on 25 February 1999, with no information regarding the year of import, but it was likely around 20–30 years ago. This individual is now kept in the Sunshine Aquarium in Tokyo, with a total length of approximately 1250 mm, measured on 25 March 2020.
