KevinB 22 Aug 2025 @Prochilodus246 From what I've read they can live up to ten years in captivity, so they might be very old individuals. Having gotten caught individuals might be another option. By the way, I did not personally see any chipmunks.

ralph 22 Aug 2025 I did not see any either today, nor in my visit earlier this year. So yes, probably just a small number of elderly animals left.
