Broad-snouted Caiman

Bronx Zoo has this species in World of Darkness now, but I've only seen Broad-snouted Caiman at 7 zoos out of 612. Rare!

@snowleopard Curious to see that the Broad-snouted caiman is that such a rarity outside its native range. It's by far the most common reptile species kept in Brazilian zoos, and quite some zoos keep a large number of them, even in off-show areas. It is also a quite common sight in urban areas as well, with even the largest wild individual found right here in one of my home town's lakes!

It is not common species outside the native range. Most of the "specialist" zoos in Europe have It, but you will not see it often.

I have seen this caiman at the Atagawa Tropical & Alligator Garden, where they were kept in large numbers.
