Baracoa Anole

August 2025
@evilmonkey239 I'm not very familiar with this species because of its rarity in U.S. zoos. It's not common in Europe either, but more are found there than in North America. On both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, the Common Knight Anole (Anolis equestris) is the most commonly kept of the knight anole-type species of anole, but within the AZA facilities there are quite a few Smallwood's Anoles (Anolis smallwoodi), while in Europe there are a small number of Baracoa Anoles (Anolis baracoae). I believe that all three species are found in different parts of Cuba.
