Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center - Entrance

@Austin the Sengi It was a very typical small nature center, nice enough but not notable or worth going out of the way to visit. The outdoor raptor enclosures are basic and house the small number of rescued birds of prey. The indoor section has some herps and a couple of songbirds including Eastern Towhee, rare in public collections (but commonly seen in the wild, at least for me). Its free, staff are nice and there are nature trails to walk right outside. I stopped by here because I was driving from Massachusetts to New York and wanted to rest and take a break from the insane traffic that was happening on the drive and figured I'd also document this place.
I should note its right next to Mystic Aquarium, maybe a 5 minute drive away. I visited the aquarium before and although I would have loved to again, I was on a budget for this trip, it was late and I was also tired at the time and didn't have the head for visiting such a big place. One could visit this nature center before or after the aquarium pretty easily if they really wanted to.

Interesting that the nature center and aquarium are at such close proximity. I think it’s justifiable to visit this center if one does both places in one day, as you have mentioned.
