@DavidBrown I can’t compare to Kansas City as I haven’t been to that zoo; compared to Omaha, that Nebraska attraction has the best zoo-aquarium I’ve seen. I would say this is a more impressive version of Brookfield’s Living Coast building.
John Ball’s is on the small side with only three main galleries (penguins/free-flying birds, sharks, and tidal wave), but it makes the most of it with good exhibit quality, an immersive coastal setting, and more unique viewing - the underwater pond window at the start was a particular standout. In my opinion, it stands alongside the African habitats as the best the Zoo has to offer.
